Neighbors Protecting Neighbors

 

District No. 4 is powered by community members who step forward as part-time, on-call firefighters. Thirty local men and women dedicate their time and skills to protect lives and property across 180 square miles of Franklin County.

When you join District No. 4, you’re not just signing up for a role — you’re carrying on a tradition of service, honor, and community pride that has stood since 1963.

 
 

WHAT OUR FIREFIGHTERS DO

Respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies

Help neighbors stay safe with inspections and public education

No prior firefighting experience is required. Our on-call firefighters receive extensive training to prepare for emergency response, firefighting, rescue, and safety operations.

Who can get involved

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Live within or near the district

  • Commit time to training and emergency calls

  • Share a strong sense of duty, teamwork, and community spirit
